Davidic Dance is based on Israeli Folk Dance, and some of the dances borrow steps from folk dances of other cultures as well. The usual formation is a circle.

A good place to begin, if you are new to Davidic Dance, is with the dance to Hava Nagila or Mayim listed below. If you can recognize a 4:4 or 3:4 beat, you can click on the "Easy Dances" link at the top of this page for a list of dances you can interchange between almost any 4:4 or 3:4 song. Once you get comfortable with those, you might try learning dances like Barchu Et Adonai, Clap Your Hands, Come Now Is The Time To Worship, Give Thanks To The Lord, or Hinei Ma Tov.

Most of all, do not get discouraged! It's not about getting it perfect, but worshiping our Creator. We were created to glorify HIM!
